The NFM-TT nitrogen flow meter allows for a controlled flow of nitrogen gas through copper lines during brazing. Purging the line with nitrogen prevents oxidation and scale inside the tube which would otherwise cause contamination.

When brazing copper, it is imperative to purge with nitrogen in order to minimize or eliminate oxidation that results from heating the copper pipe. Without purging, oxidation will occur and the oxidized flakes that result can and will break off and flow through the system, damaging bearings and fouling system filters. All that is needed is a low pressure, low volume flow of nitrogen. The use of dry nitrogen gas also minimizes the need to evacuate moisture from the system.

Each complete nozzle has its own built-in spiral mixer, designed for its unique tip size and flame characteristic, and is individually swaged to insure proper alignment for uniform flame, sizing and free-flow contour. Orifice sizes are common for all series – regardless of nozzle series (300FC, 100FC, J), flame characteristic or fuel gas used. This uniformity of orifice sizes simplifies nozzle selection and eliminates chances of ordering the wrong size when changing from one type of nozzle to another.
